The founders of New Dominion Enterprises Inc. combine the foremost expertise in inorganic chemistry research producing new classes of novel compounds for use in Lithium batteries with expertise in the management and commercialization of advanced technology deployment.
Jay Fraser, Co-founder/President
Mr. Fraser is an innovative leader with extensive experience in consumer products, product concept and development, technology commercialization and entrepreneurship. He began his management career at World ranked agencies on Madison Avenue where he learned strategic planning, new product development and commercialization. Subsequently, during a career of more than 30 years, he became a subject matter expert in technology transfer from the National Laboratory System, working with a number of Department of Energy Laboratories. His previous company, Tracer Detection Technology Corp. successfully completed a 3-year, $2.5 million contract to develop a covert tracking system. During this contract, he met Dr. Mason K. Harrup and developed a trusted mutual relationship. When Harrup left INL, he reached out to Fraser and asked him to join in a company to commercialize his "life's work" in the development of inorganic liquid solvents for lithium battery electrolytes.
Mr. Fraser has a Master of Business Administration (Management) - Adelphi University, Garden City, New York and a Bachelor of Arts (English) - New York University, University Heights College, Bronx, New York. Mr. Fraser also holds 26 technical patents and has published and presented subject matter expert papers on technology transfer and technology applications. He also serves as an External Technology Advisor to Mercy Corps, a global humanitarian organization empowering people to recover from crisis, build better lives and transform their communities for good.
Mason K. Harrup, Ph.D., Co-founder/Chief Scientist
Mason K. Harrup, Ph.D. worked at the Idaho National Labs from 1997 until 2014. There he provided synthetic chemistry expertise for a variety of programs. He directed development of novel hybrid organic/inorganic materials as liquid electrolyte solvents and additives for advanced lithium batteries. He conducted research and development of novel solid polymer and nanocomposite electrolyte materials for application to high
energy storage devices, primary and rechargeable batteries, as well as PEM and DMFC fuel cells, including synthesis of novel polymer and nanocomposite materials and development of new processing techniques. He conducted evaluation of these new materials in membrane separations, both liquid and gas and was instrumental in development of nanocomposites as subsurface reactive barriers for environmental remediation and waste management. He also directed development of novel perfluorinated chemical agents for advanced clandestine tag, track and locate applications.
Dr. Harrup has over 60 patents issued and pending, seventy-five publications and seventy presentations in the area of materials science and synthesis. Dr. Harrup received a BS from the Univ. of Virginia and a Ph.D. from Emory University, followed by post-doctoral research performed at Michigan State University.
Timothy McArthur, Chief Technology Officer
Mr. McArthur is an experienced technology innovator in a wide variety of applications with the US government. With over 33 years’ experience with the federal government (including both military and civil service), he received certification in acquisition, engineering, information technology, science & technology, and software development. He has also worked with multiple startups and with the national laboratories.
Mr. McArthur has a Master of Science degree in Software from the Air Force Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University.
